3 stars. A cozy murder mystery for grown ups. Season ten of hit show “Bake Week” is filming at the palatial Vermont estate of beloved hostess Betsy. America’s Grandmother is given a cohost for the first time, which may expose the layers beneath Betsy’s sweet persona. Mix in a little sabotage, a lot of wine, big secrets and bigger surprises, and you will be on the edge of your seat. The POV chapters from each contestant and Betsy took a bit of getting used to, but stick with it. About halfway through it will ‘click’ and this page turner won’t let you go. If you are a fan of competition cooking shows and cozy mysteries, you will love this book. Thank you to Atria Books for my copy.
