Something a little different-a nifty book for little kids! Great for new readers 1st-3rd grade. Sea Salt the kitty is missing and Hattie asks her friends for help in finding her. Fun book as each character uses their skills to find Sea Salt. The illustrations are awesome. There are interactive elements so readers can use their critical thinking and problem solving as they go through the story. It is a deceptive book because the reader is learning more than reading-well done! The only negative I have is the rhyming is inconsistent and really tries way too hard in a few places. If you are reading it aloud definitely go through it first because the kid I read it to thought I was hilarious when the rhyme was off and I messed it up and had to go back and start over. Other than that this is a super good book and the entire series is really well done. Highly recommended. I was given a copy, this is my own opinion.
