Wined and Died in New Orleans by Ellen Byron

You ‘Otter’ be reading this book-so good! Book two in another wonderful series from Ellen Byron who also writes the Cajun Country and Catering Hall series as Maria DiRico. In this one, Miracle “Ricki” James-Diaz is building her business at Miss Vee’s, a vintage shop at the Bon Vee Culinary Museum in New Orleans. With hurricanes threatening, a treasure is unearthed that leads to murder. Ricki is caught in the middle of the investigation as it reveals family troubles among the Charbonnet’s that may upend everything she thinks she knows about her past. Secrets will be exposed that set up more mysteriousness as the series continues. As always the setting/world building is perfect-Byron clearly love love loves New Orleans and it shows on the page. I am a huge fan of all these series and highly recommend them if you like cozy mysteries with compelling characters and well plotted storytelling. Four big fat stars because fat stars are better than regular stars!
