Interesting take on the usual vampire/paranormal plot. It was more like an old-fashioned mystery that just happened to have vampires. How the vampires fit into society and how society views them was well thought out by the author. Radhika (the lawyer) is also an outsider, which makes the story work. The book was good but a slow read that took its time to introduce everyone and set up all the plot points. It did drag a bit in the middle but overall three stars. It definitely was NOT what I was expecting but as an alternative to all the Twilight-type books that just rehash the trope over and over, it was worth reading. I was given a copy to read and share my opinion.
