Mystery Monday

Yikes, it’s Monday again!  Never fear, there are always wonderful Cozy Mysteries to read and that will turn any drab, old Monday into a Mystery Monday!!

I think it’s safe to say I LOVE Cozy Mysteries.  Just about any premise you can think of, I have read the entire series:  bookshops, coffeeshops, psychics, home renovators, chefs, caterers, bakery owners, librarians, dog walkers, B&B owners and moms.

The best thing about cozies is you can always put yourself into the story and think “hmm, this could TOTALLY happen to me!”  So, I have read TONS of cozies over the years but somehow, I have missed a WONDERFUL series set in the world of yarn & fabrics.

Last Wool and Testament (A Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery, #1)Last Wool and Testament   Plagued By Quilt (A Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery, #4)Plagued By Quilt

I just downloaded Last Wool and Testament from the library and it is SOOOOOO good!  Kath inherits her Gran’s fabric shop and when she returns to her hometown she discovers her dear Gran was the prime suspect in a murder investigation!!  There is a ghost (LOVE a ghostly cozy!!) and some quirky characters to inhabit Blue Plum, Tennessee.

Molly MacRae is a fantastic writer-her characters and settings are so descriptive, the reader is right there; looking out over the Blue Ridge Mountains with Kath.  There are three books in this series with number four  Plagued by Quilt due out in November.  Definitely put this series on your “Otter” read list.

Halloween Hijinks (Zoe Donovan Mystery, #1)Halloween Hijinks     Haunted Hamlet (Zoe Donovan #9)    Haunted Hamlet

Halloween Hijinks introduced readers to the world of Zoe Donovan.  TONS of fun, a great mystery and characters you want to read over & over.  Kathi Daley has done it again with Haunted Hamlet, the 9th Zoe book.  The mystery ties back into the Halloween Hijinks mystery.  Super good book and series that you “Otter” read.

There are some great cozies coming out closer to Halloween with spooky themes-I cannot wait to get my hands on them!! I’ll be doing a post in mid-September to give everyone a heads up so we don’t miss them.

You 'OTTER' leave a comment-c'mon, let it all out and share your thoughts!!
