Ghosts, mystery, Mellie is stupid again. There is more drama around the cistern in the backyard with rumors of yet another treasure hidden in the Tradd Street house. Basically a decent story but Mellie & Jack are tedious. 2 stars.
The Attic on Queen Street (Tradd Street #7) by Karen White
Finally, the end of the series and we find out the story of Veronica’s sister and her murder. There is a movie, Marc is an asshat, Rebecca is her pink self, there are ghosts, mysteries, and as usual yet another possible buried treasure in the Tradd Street House. Seriously, didn’t anybody hide treasure anywhere else in Charleston? Was there a sign out front that said “put it here”? So boring and the murder was so easy I figured it out two books ago. Just see what Mellie is being stupid about and that is the clue to solve it all. 2 stars.
