Reunion, Runes & Revenge: A Paranormal Cozy (Moonflower Mysteries #3) by Beverly A. Rearick

3 stars. Samantha is not a witch; but everyone else in town-some type of paranormal. ALL the tropes are here so buckle up. This is my first read in a three book (so far) series. It was pretty good. The story is that Samantha is a single mom to a witchling?, runs her own catering business and sort of dates a vampire sheriff and some other guy that I think is a werewolf. The plot is the twenty year high school reunion pulls all the mean girls and old lovers together. Of course one of them is murdered and the twist is the school is mysteriously locked by some kind of spell-no one in or out, and the murderer is still on the loose. There is angst, drama, old relationships, magic, ghosts, and it was a decent read. The story moves right along and there is some drama with family and friends outside the school trying to open the doors before the Paranormal Council sends in a TASK FORCE. If you have read the first two books, you will love this one; if you haven’t, well, it’s not too confusing. The characters seem like nice people, the magic/paranormal elements work and the murder was convoluted but wrapped up nicely in a way that made sense within the story. There were some spelling/grammar/formatting issues that I see more and more in Kindle but nothing too excessive. Overall, a good book that was interesting enough that I will pick up the first two. #LibraryThing provided my copy of this book; this is my own opinion.
