Murder At Wedgefield Manor by Erica Ruth Neubauer

Three stars for the second book in the Jane Wunderly series. Jane, an American widow, is traveling with her formidable Aunt Millie through England. They make a stop at Wedgefield Manor where Millie spends time with her secret daughter (all this was revealed in book one Murder At The Mena House-also a 3 star read). When the totally dishy Redvers turns up, can a murder be far behind? Jane steps up to help a flirty inspector solve this ‘country house mystery’. Lots of red herrings and twists kept me guessing. Jane learning to fly an airplane, in 1926!, was a fun sub plot as is Lillian’s obsession with golf. The plot is tight with very little fluff. Neubauer keeps the cast of characters trimmed down to a manageable number and they are all well rounded and have a part to play. I have book three on hold and book four is set to be released later this year.
