3 stars. Great for fans of this long running series. Lucy and the -ENTIRE- family head to France for the wedding of daughter, Elizabeth. There is a murder but almost halfway through the book. It is secondary to family drama in both the Stone family and with Elizabeth’s future in-laws. This is a good book, with a slow moving story line where the murder etc is secondary to the family relationships and Lucy’s reservations about Elizabeth’s groom, job, family, future-all the ‘mom’ things. This book, and the series, are more about Lucy navigating the stages of her life than a traditional cozy. But, I’ve hung in there now for 29 books so Meier is doing something right! It was fun having all the kids and grandson Patrick together again; too bad they couldn’t all come home to Tinker’s Cove…maybe in book thirty? I was given a copy, this is my opinion.
