3 stars. Great fun! Book six of the series finds Frances acting as sponsor to Kate, as she prepares to be presented Queen Victoria. All is not as it seems when Kate’s aunt, Viscountess Winstead is worryingly ill and Frances suspects she is being drugged in an attempt to get at her formidable fortune. There are suspects galore both in the family and amongst the servants. Fans of Downton will roll right along with the plot. This was so good, there were twists and turns that led Frances into some interesting situations that allow her and her husband, George to work together to solve the puzzling mystery. Well done-this is my first read of the series but I will be picking up the earlier ones. I was given a copy and this is my opinion.
