SUPER SERIES ALERT!! The Brass Queen & The Grand Tour by Elizabeth Chatsworth

Version 1.0.0

Oh, boy are these good! Steampunk can be hit or miss, but when it ‘hits’ it’s worth binge-reading both these books one after the other. Chatsworth has a complete grasp of the genre that keeps the plot moving while things whiz/bang/pop and downright explode. Main character Miss Constance Haltwhistle is keeping the family estate together by secretly selling weapons as the “Brass Queen”. When she must team up with a US spy, the sparks fly in more than one way. The characters are detailed, the romance was fun, the dialogue crackled, and the story just flew along.

In book two “The Grand Tour” our story continues and veers off into another dimension with Constance blackmailed! Can she and Trusdale steal the artifacts and keep aliens from invading Earth? This one was a bit more fantasy/steampunk but still enjoyable and I was up late finishing it. I definitely recommend the series and award 3 big fat stars to both books. I was given copies-this is my own opinion.
