Weird, wild, wacky, and totally out of control! Â Craziest and most fun book of 2024. This book started out crazy and never stopped. There is some type of world apocalypse and our hero? finds himself in a real life video game…with his cat??!!?! Told you it was crazy! I thought it was fun and I think if you are a gamer or a fan of gamer type movies then you will love this book. As an example-I liked the Jumanji movies with The Rock. And Ready Player One was awesome. Carl has a similar vibe-kind of snarky and wondering what the heck is going on but just carrying on and working it out. So, I did enjoy reading this book and once I got past the first couple of chapters and got into the groove of the way Dinniman tells his story, it was good. There were places so off the wall I had to put the book down to laugh and ask myself “did I just read what I thought I did?” As always, I need to let you know I was given a copy of this book but this rather convoluted mess is my own opinion!
