A Poisoned Season by Tasha Alexander

Ooooh, so good! Lady Emily continues to scandalize London society by investigating a mysterious death tied to the French Revolution. She finds herself in mortal danger several times but perseveres to figure out whodunit. There is less Greek this time but lots of France and Marie Antoinette. Very interesting and the plot just moved right along. I enjoy the Victorian behaviours and when Lady Emily is ‘cut’ by an acquaintance, I literally gasped out loud! The only thing that bugs me is the character of Margaret. She is an American but doesn’t fit in this time frame, for me. I think she would work better in 1918ish but that is just me and I ignore her when she arrives in the plot. The rest of the book is very well done-a solid 4 stars and I have the next two on hold at the library.
