4 stars for book three in the Ladies Most Scandalous series. So much fun! Poppy agrees to a mad plan to pretend she is betrothed to the Duke of Langham in exchange for his help in proving her sister innocent of murder. Whew! So that is the setup and the entire story is just that good. The plot moves right along with hints of Downton and Bridgerton as Poppy must fake her way through meeting the Duke’s family as his (pretend) beloved. The actual murderer fooled me again-I am so bad at detecting! The romance level is perfect and the whole thing is wrapped up the way you know it will but so well done. This is the first of the series for me and I enjoyed it so much I put books one and two on hold at the library. I was given a copy-this is my own opinion.
